PY Boo er EW snertitvístirni í Hjarðmanninum (Boötes). Hún uppgötvaðist í gögnum NSVS (Northern Sky Variability Survey) rannsóknarverkefnisins og var kynnt árið 2006. Umferðartími þess er 0,278047 d (6t40m24s). Aðalmyrkvi er 0,55 bst. (bst. 12,1-12,65) en millimyrkvi er aðeins grynnri.
PY Boo is an EW contact binary, located in Boötes. It was first presented in 2006 after being found in the Northern Sky Variability Survey (NSVS) database. Its orbital period is 6h40m24s, or 0.278047 days. The secondary eclipse is marginally shallower than the primary eclipse, which is of magnitude 0.55 (mag. 12.1–12.65).

Höfundur fylgdist með PY BOÖ dagana 20. mars 2016 og 14. mars 2017. Niðurstöðurnar voru notaðar til þess til að draga upp birtustöðukort af umferðartíma hennar (mynd 2). Til þess voru einnig notuð gögn frá AAVSO og B.R.N.O. yfir 10 myrkva stjörnunnar.
Ýtarlegri greinargerð um mælingarnar er að finna í samantekt um stjörnuathuganir frá Hornafirði árin 2013-2016 og 2016-2017.
The author observed this star on March 20, 2016, and March 14, 2017. The intention was to examine and cover the orbital period to establish a phase diagram (Fig. 2). To create the phase diagram, data from AAVSO and B.R.N.O. over 10 eclipses were also used.
